Gerald Schantz has been cooking for satisfied crowds in the Coastal Empire for over 20 years. His specialty is meat; barbecue, brisket and more. But he has not limited himself to this specialty. Over the years he has collected hundreds of recipes and perfected his techniques. Originally a part-time venture, cooking has become the focus of his life. He started out over two decades ago catering to events hosted by his friends. By the mid-nineties he had chalked up an impressive roster of happy eaters including the cast and crew of This Old House and cast and crew members of several movies filmed in his hometown of Savannah, Georgia.

Over the years Gerald has invested heavily in top flight cooking equipment for his ever-growing catering business. With a stainless steel, trailer-mounted smoker, outdoor steam table and a fully equipped kitchen truck, Gerald is able to serve his delicious, piping hot food to groups numbering in the hundreds at any location reachable by road.
